Choosing art as a career has become synonymous with choosing financial insecurity

It’s time to change that.

Welcome to

This is your ultimate guide to achieving financial success for creatives, by creatives.

Our mission is to empower artists with financial knowledge that truly aligns with the realities of a creative life. We translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical strategies—so you can focus on making your art, while confidently building a stable and sustainable future.

Hi! My name is Jaden!

I'm the Founder and Creative Director of The Financial Palette. I’m an art school graduate and practicing artist who somehow ended up a financial educator.

I started my journey with big creative dreams, but early on, I realized that to sustain a lifelong art practice, I needed to understand how to manage money. That uncertainty around my financial future led me to pursue a career in finance.

Since then, I’ve co-designed and co-taught a personal finance course specifically for artists at my college. I’ve also had the opportunity to speak to students of all ages about taking control of their financial futures.

As an artist, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition through awards like the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, the Albert K. Murray Fine Arts Educational Grant, and the Anna Orbeton Endowed Scholarship.

Today, I bring both parts of my practice, art and finance, together to help fellow creatives find financial clarity, build sustainable careers, and achieve their goals with confidence.

As a financial professional, I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible group of artists, designers, musicians, and makers. They are thoughtful, curious, and committed, not only to their craft, but also to taking control of their financial futures. I’m honored they trust me to walk alongside them as they move toward financial health and long-term creative freedom.

You’re in the right place if…

You feel overwhelmed by money

1

Every financial decision feels heavy. You avoid looking at your accounts, don’t know what to prioritize, and feel behind no matter what you do.

You’re afraid the “starving artist” narrative might be your reality.

2

You love your craft, but you’re scared that choosing art means choosing instability. You want proof, and a strategy, that abundance is possible.

You’re tired of financial jargon and don’t know what actually applies to you.

3

IRAs, index funds, LLCs, taxes, investing, it all sounds important, but no one explains it in plain language or in a way that makes sense for creatives.

You want to build a financial life that aligns with your goals and your values.

You want a plan. Not just random tips,  but a clear first step, second step, third step tailored to where you are right now.

4

You’re a college or art institution and you want to equip creatives with tools for long-term sustainability

5

Your goal isn’t to commercialize their practice, but to empower them with financial confidence so they can sustain their work, expand their impact, and build lasting careers.
